In Ubisoft's second Ubisoft Forward digital presentation the publisher shared additional details on Immortals Fenyx Rising, formerly known Gods & Monsters. The presentation showed off Fenxy Rising's environment, gameplay mechanics, and some of the monsters inspired by Greek myths. The company has recently confirmed that users who buy Immortals on PS4 or Xbox One will be eligible for a free next-gen upgrade on the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
At the presentation, Immortals Fenyx Rising also received a new trailer and the development team discussed the game's plot. However, the most striking aspect of the game that stood out is its graphical presentation. Many gamers have claimed that Fenyx Rising is a mix of Assassin's Creed Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Immortals Fenyx Rising features colorful open-world environments, cartoonish characters, and toned down lighting. The game does look to have been inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, even in its combat and exploration aspects. The protagonist in Fenyx Rising can climb mountains and successfully dodging enemy attacks results in slowing down time to land a counterattack.
Moreover, Ubisoft also announced that Immortals will be getting a Stadia-exclusive demo. This demo will be available before the game's release in December. Although we don't know a whole lot about the demo, Ubisoft has promised to reveal more very soon.
Immortals Fenyx Rising also received a name change from Gods & Monsters. The name change came out of nowhere and some gamers have been stating that the name change came after Ubisoft tried to obtain the trademark for Gods & Monsters. Rumors say that Monster Energy claimed Ubisoft's trademark could create confusion between the two brands.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is launching on December 3 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Stadia.
