Apple has released its seventh beta update for iOS 10.2 as of Wednesday. The software should hit iOS devices for Apple developers and those taking part in Apple’s public beta program wirelessly. Users can also install the software manually at Apple’s Developer website. Those who are not developers will have to register before getting access to the iOS 10.2 software.
The prior beta 6 update hit devices just two days ago. It appears Apple is trying to get as many fixes in as it can before it rolls out the official iOS 10.2 software. Documents from the company indicate iOS 10.2 will update publicly sometime next week.
At this time there is no changelog for the iOS 10.2 beta 7. However, through previous beta versions, developers have learned the version will include new emoji, wallpapers and updates to the Music app and camera settings, as well as the recently announced Apple TV app.
The iOS 10.2 update is also expected to include fixes for the battery issues surrounding iOS 10.1 and the iPhone 6s. A webpage from Apple’s Chinese website indicated the new system version would address the issues. There are also reports of iOS 10.2 including a diagnostic tool to help users figure out whether their handset has battery issues.
