Apple has been ordered to stop selling iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus model phones in China following a ruling by a Beijing intellectual property board that decided that Apple had violated design patents of Shenzhen Baili.
CNBC was unable to find an official website for Shenzhen Baili online, nor were their email or telephone attempts able to connect successfully. According to Patently Apple, Apple has filed a lawsuit appealing the order, and can stave off the sales ban by appealing it venues such as Beijing Higher People’s Court or the Supreme People’s Court.
This is only the latest setback for Apple in China, who despite the money they have poured into developing the Chinese market, have not been able to gain significant foothold. Apple has already make concessions in key areas, such as disabling the News App for iPhone users who are not VPNing through a non-Chinese IP address.
Just last month however, they lost a four-year legal dispute regarding a Chinese leather mobile accessories manufacturer using the word “iPhone” on their products and Apple was forced to shut down their iBooks and iTunes Movies services as well in China this past April.
Movies however seem to be a booming business in China, and if you happen to live there and are looking for ways you can get your hands on iPhone 6s before it’s too late, there’s a sperm bank you can speak to.
