KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said that he believes that Apple will save the much talked about dual-rear-facing camera system for the iPhone 7 Plus, or whatever Apple decides to call their 5.5-inch iPhone 7 model.
According to MacRumors , Kuo said that, “new iPhone shipments to be capped by similar form factor as iPhone 6s & 6s Plus; top hardware upgrade is dual-camera (5.5-inch model only), though many competing models with dual-camera will launch soon, joining others already on the market; first impressions could underwhelm.”
The dual-rear-facing camera system would allow a whole host of possibilities for the iPhone 7 Plus’s photographic abilities, including a vast improvement on digital zoom, better nighttime photos, an automatic slow-motion video cache and much more.
Apple gained this technology when it purchased LinX, an Israeli imaging firm specializing in multiple lens camera technology. Hopefully this means that the iPhone 7 will be able to take higher quality HDR photos with lower levels of noise and better color accuracy.
The iPhone 7 is expected to be released this September, assuming Apple keeps with its past tradition of releasing a new generation of an iPhone every year before Christmas.
