League of Legends officially welcomes to its roster the latest hero, Qiyana. As an assassin, Qiyana is a good fit for those who love to play champions that deal quick and high damage.
For changes made to the champions, the highlight is Illaoi, who received a good buff. For the development team at League of Legends, the change is meant to buff her while moderninzing the way her abilities work. The team hopes that the small changes and buffs should make her "feel a lot better to play and stronger in general."
Let's start with her Passive ability, called Prophet of an Elder God. The ability of the tentacles to go into an idle state when she is not around to command them has been removed. Meanwhile, the Tentacle AP Ration is now 0.4 ability power and at the same time allow her to ping Prophet of an Elder God's cooldown to her team.
In terms of skills, W - Harsh Lesson now has minimum damage scaled at 20/30/40/50/60. Further, minimum damage is dealt as bonus damage to turrets.
For E - Test of Spirit, the Spirit duration no longer experiences reduced time each time the champion is damaged by the target. Base spirit duration was lowered to seven seconds, with the base vessel duration reduced as well to 10 seconds. For the skill R - Leap of Faith, the maximum summons have been increased to six tentacles instead of five. In addition, Leap of Faith Tentacles no longer despawn mid-attack if Illaoi commands them to slam with Harsh Lesson.
Pyke also underwent some changes with Q - Bone Skewer's cooldown decreased and the stab damage bonus removed. The champion typically solos the lane due to his strong anti-harass tools. The same tools ensure that he can avoid death trap should he get too far ahead. The changes are meant to curb that impact.
Udyr meanwhile has all abilities leveled to rank six. While the damage for the Q - Tiger Stance was increased, the same was true of the shield of the W - Turtle Stance. The changes were made in order to balance the stances and playstyles of Udyr.
Aside from the changes to the champions and items, patch 9.13 also marks the official launch of Teamfight Tactics.
