Riot just unveiled a teaser for their newest skin. It’s called REACTIVATING… and the text describes a robot coming to life. At the top of the page, we see brief snippets of three skins. The first two are Mecha Aatrox and Mecha Malphite, while the third one looks to be a new splash for Mecha Kha’zix.
We already know what skin is being teased, in the last PBE patch there were files called “Mecha Zero Sion” which had no actual skin in them. The teaser also mentions a "self destruction mode" and Sion attacks after he dies,, so it makes perfect sense. Riot has done that before for skins like DJ Sona and Ironside Malphite, so this is definitely a teaser for the next Sion skin.
The tiny picture we see reminds me of Claptrap from Borderlands , which would look awesome on Sion. Imagine if instead of Sion being a hulking brute, he was a robot that came up with snappy punchlines. He would probably say more interesting things thanwhat he says now, which is mainly “Kill, maim destroy.”
This skin should be announced in the coming days, and available to test when the next PBE cycle comes out. Most likely, Riot is going to launch a new patch next week, allowing themselves enough time to release the April Fools skins around early April.
