The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD release date is March 4 and not only will the much-forgotten Zelda game get a fresh coat of paint but will also be getting a brand new amiibo for those collectors out there.
And, as all amiibo do, the Wolf Link amiibo for Twilight Princess HD will be getting some special features if you tap it onto your Wii U. However, the details of the special features are still shrouded in mystery but an Amazon France listing for the amiibo may have leaked the features of the amiibo before its release.
UPDATE: After some inquiry, Nintendo gave iDigitalTimes this statement. “Nintendo has nothing to announce at this time” regarding the function of the Wolf Link amiibo.
According to the listing -- which has been changed since -- the Wolk Link amiibo will be giving players a brand new dungeon along with some other cool bonuses. Here’s the Amazon listing description (after a translate) via NeoGaf .
Unlock bonuses with "The Legend of Zelda" amiibos: Tap all the amiibos for the Zelda series to unlock bonuses in the game, such as regenerating your life, or getting arrows for your bow. The new Wolf Link amiibo even allows you to get into a new dungeon: "The Twilight Cave". The data recorded on this Amiibo can even be transferred to the next episode on Wii U.
The Twilight Princess HD will be sold with the Wolf Link amiibo and if you pre-order, the soundtrack for the game will also be included. The Wolf Link amiibo will also be sold separately at a later date.
During the November Nintendo Direct, not only was the Wolf Link amiibo for Twilight Princess HD revealed but it was announced that data from TP would be transferred to Zelda Wii U. What that means is yet unknown.
The five Zelda amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. series (Toon Link, Zelda, Link, Sheik and Ganondorf) will be compatible with Twilight Princess HD.
We have reached out to Nintendo of America for confirmation of the Amazon listing and we’ll update as soon as we learn more.
