Enjoy the Creative Mode
In addition to being available on a new platform, the game also now features the “Creative Mode.” This has been one of the most requested features and is set to challenge players to create and show off their most imaginative builds.
In Creative Mode, players get access to several available themes and different options for build plates to start with. Some have inspiration built-in from the beginning, like the lower half of a car. Others are empty and designed for players to be creative.
In a post, developer Light Brick Studio assured players that they kept the controls and interface as simple as the rest of the game. For example, when players open a brick bin, they get a curated selection of bricks to build with. Placing a brick immediately gives the player another one of the same shape and color. This is good for those who want to build symmetrical things. Then when the bin is opened again, there’s a new selection of bricks.
Once players are done creating, they can then open the photo mode where they can adjust the lighting and viewing angle before taking that perfect picture and sharing it with friends.
LEGO Builder’s Journey is an atmospheric, geometric puzzle game where players are asked to follow the instructions and sometimes to break the rules. Players can experiment with free-form puzzle-solving while immersing themselves in the world of LEGO bricks. Throughout the narrative, there are ups and downs, challenges, and of course, celebrations.
Released in June 2021, the game has since won various awards like the SPILPRISEN’s award for Best Visuals and Best Audio. Learn more about the game here.
LEGO Builder's Journey is also available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
