Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite DLC Adds Black Widow, Winter Soldier, Monster Hunter And Venom

The mystery of the remaining four DLC characters for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite has been ongoing for some time now, but Capcom has finally announced the identities of the next round of fighters coming to the game.

In an official statement from Capcom, Black Widow, Monster Hunter, Winter Soldier and Venom will be joining Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite in the coming months after the game’s launch.

"We know there has been much speculation on who the remaining four DLC characters will be, and we are happy to announce that Monster Hunter, Winter Soldier, Black Widow and the shape-shifting Venom will all be battling their way into Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite later this year. We are hard at work on these characters and can't wait to show them to you when they are ready!"

Ever since Capcom confirmed there will be DLC characters and revealed that the Mega Man X villain, Sigma, and Marvel Comics’ Black Panther will be the first two released, the community has speculated what other heroes and villains could join the roster (we made our own predictions as well).

However, there have been persistent leaks that revealed some of MvC ’s base roster and some DLC characters. The leak was correct about the base roster correct and also confirmed Monster Hunter and Venom as DLC characters, although the initial leak had Monster Hunter as a base character.

Three of the four DLC characters coming to MvC: Infinite will be new to the franchise. Venom was present in Marvel vs Capcom 2 and was a fan-favorite back then, so his inclusion will make players happy.

Capcom has not announced a date for the release of the new DLC characters, but we expect they will be released separately through the last few months of 2017. Videos or screenshots of the new characters were not available at the time of this writing, but you may see one or two of them in the MvC: Infinite story.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite releases for PS4, Xbox One and PC on Sept. 19.
