The ending of "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" had fans worried about Peter Parker's fate in the next game, but that seems to no longer be the problem as the actor behind the character that it is not yet the end for Parker as far as "Marvel's Spider-Man 3" is concerned.

There are spoilers ahead. You've been warned.

For those who have already finished the last game, there were hints that Peter Parker is set to hang his suit and pass the mantle to the new Spider-Man of New York City, Miles Morales.

However, that may not be entirely the case as the actor who players Parker, Yuri Lowenthal, has a lot to say regarding his character's continuing journey in Insomniac Games' action RPG franchise.

'Marvel's Spider-Man 3': Peter Parker Still Has a Massive Role

In the latest interview by The Direct with Peter Parker's actor, Lowenthal shared what can be expected in the next game of the series. It should be noted, however, that the game remains to be unconfirmed.

The Peter Parker of the Insomniac franchise teased that "Peter is not gone," claiming that he will be part of the next game and will not be limited to a minor role.

The initial speculations after the events of "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" had fans clamoring for answers from Insomniac Games, particularly as Peter Parker hinted his plans to retire and leave the responsibility of protecting New York to Miles Morales.

While that does not mean that Peter will be entirely out of the picture, it was initially speculated that his role would be reduced to "the couch," meaning he'll be a non-playable recurring character.

Based on Lowenthal's statement, it seems that Parker will still have a massive role to play in the next game. That being said, this is the only information shared by Peter Parker's actor for the time being, with no specifics on what the game has to offer and how exactly will his character play out in the future release.

Yuri Lowenthal and the Unconfirmed 'Spider-Man' Sequel

Again, Insomniac Games and PlayStation have yet to confirm "Marvel's Spider-Man 3," but the gaming industry and its fanbase highly believe that there will be a sequel to the last 2023 game that saw both Parker and Morales team up to fight the threats to the city.

The second game introduced two major villains from the "Spider-Man comics," with Venom and Kraven the Hunter being notable adversaries to the pair.

However, "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" also teased the possible arrival of the Green Goblin, with this villain being the main archenemy of the original Spider-Man. The Green Goblin has been rumored to be the main villain of the next game.

Insomniac Games 'Marvel's Spider-Man'

Insomniac Games is gearing up for more Marvel games to showcase in the future, particularly with its success with the "Marvel's Spider-Man" franchise.

However, there may be a longer wait for "Marvel's Spider-Man 3" as the team may focus on the long-delayed "Marvel's Wolverine" game that was originally announced alongside "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" in 2021 but has yet to be released by the company.
