PUBG Mobile and McLaren have entered a partnership that’s sure to tickle the fancy of players worldwide. The collaboration is set to feature the iconic McLaren 570S Coupé and have it drivable in the game. This should be good news for those looking to speed things up.
For those not familiar, the McLaren 570S Coupé is a sports car best known for its excellent power to weight ratio. It’s going to be available in the game with a total of six sleek finishes including McLaren-Fantasy City, McLaren-Gold-plated Ivory, and McLaren-Kingdom of Gold.
That’s not all since starting June 1, players get to enjoy a wide range of McLaren content. Players who own the McLaren 570S Coupé have the option to choose the car as their parachute. Now that’s what we call dropping in style.
At the Classic Erangel Map, players should notice the McLaren Exhibition Hall and here, they can admire the McLaren 570S Coupé. However, they can also open the doors and get combat supplies. For both Spawn Island and Cheer Park, players can get this sports car through an airdrop.
In a statement, Vincent Wang of Tencent Games revealed that both PUBG Mobile and McLaren are known for their innovation, especially with how the latter can push the boundaries in the automotive industry. He added that this is the first time they’ve partnered with an automotive brand and happy to have been the one to take the initiative.
Meanwhile, Gareth Dunsmore of McLaren shared that while their brand has been associated with having the best performance in the automotive world, PUBG Mobile is one of the leaders when it comes to mobile gaming. Dunsmore went on to say that they are excited to see how the players would react to this collaboration.
This collaboration is actually part of the Version 1.4 update. Released early this month, the update introduces new content, new maps, and even new game modes.
PUBG Mobile is based on PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and has a maximum of 100 players drop into a remote island and fight in a winner-takes-all showdown. The game can be downloaded for free on Google Play and App Store.
