PUBG Mobile has released a new update which introduces a new mode called Metro Royale. This new mode brings with it some unique combat mechanics as well as gameplay changes. Today we take a quick look at what the new content has to offer.
There’s going to be new environments, particularly two unique maps that are based on Erangel. These new environments feature ruins, trenches, a bandit camp, and even different locations that players can explore, inspired by the Metro game franchise. There’s also an underground world that everyone can romp around in which offer unique combat mechanics along with a railcar vehicle. While the rewards may be tempting, watch out for dangers that lurk in the shadows.
Players can also expect themed gameplay in the new Metro Royale. For November, it’s a Metro theme where there’s underground Metro stations, monsters, and a Radiation Zone. In addition, the Aurora appears on Spawn Island. Finally, two of four Metro lines are set to appear randomly each time in Erangel.
Once December rolls in, it’s all about the Winter Festival theme. Be careful as a cold wave arrives to Erangel and has covered the sea surfaces in ice floes. Join in snowball fights and even get on a snowboard during this month. This being the holidays, don’t forget to visit the Winter Festival hut for some festivities.

- New Heavy Armor that offers even stronger protection and unique abilities.
- A diverse range of armor attachments that make it possible to further customize the abilities of your armor.
- Try out the Tikhar Rifle: a unique silent air rifle from the Metro series.

- Cunning bandits have been introduced as enemies on the map.
- Raid them or loot their supplies, but watch out for the elite warriors among them.
- Watch out for special monsters from the Metro series who threaten players from the shadows.
