Konami has shared some new images that show fans a glimpse of its upcoming Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, known as Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
The screenshots show that the remake is not really changing a lot regarding the serious tactical espionage of the original game. The protagonist, Snake, can also be seen sneaking around enemies in the forest and shooting at a rubber duck.

The main character is also seen in various states of battle worn, from feeling fresh in new camouflage to being topless and covered in blood.
The images also show a handful of enemies, a revamped UI, and the first-person mode that players can jump into when looking to be more precise.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was announced in May last year following a series of rumors about its existence. Konami has already confirmed that the game will be coming to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, according to IGN.
PlayStation also said that players can expect a 2024 release window for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. This comes despite a handful of trailers that were revealed not having mentioned an exact release date.
The original game came out on the PlayStation 2 and many players still love the 2004 entry in the stealth action series
The new images that Konami and Sony shared come alongside a series of previews from people who were able to play the first 90 minutes of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
Those previews noted that the remake is basically the same PlayStation 2 title but with a fresh reimagining using Unreal Engine. The latest images show all of the details that are included in the upcoming game, said Kotaku.
Newly Released Images
While there are many players who still believe that the original PlayStation 2 game holds up by today's standards, the remake shows impressive photo-realistic depictions of locations, characters, and moments.
One of the demos for the upcoming remake consisted of the entire Virtuous Mission, which is the original game's prologue that sets up the stake of the story to come. It also introduces players to characters such as Naked Snake, The Boss, Ocelot, and Volgin.
While everything is a near one-for-one remake of the original PlayStation 2 classic, the upgraded visuals give a greater sense of immersion to everything that you do. The foliage is luscious, and the jungle feels hot, looming, and oppressive, according to PCGamer.
