There are indications that Tati Gabrielle may join the cast of Mortal Kombat 2, assuming the role of Jade. According to an article, Gabrielle is currently in the final stages of negotiation for the much-anticipated sequel.
Fans of the Mortal Kombat game must know that her character, Jade, wasn't present in the first MK game either; instead, she debuted in the second title. It seems fitting that the movies are also following suit. Jade is an assassin and a close companion of Kitana; the latter was also missing from the 2021 movie. Kitana is also expected to debut in the upcoming sequel, however, who will play her hasn't been made public.
Actor's Previous Work
Tati Gabrielle has starred in multiple high-profile shows and movies. Mortal Kombat 2 will be her second video-game movie, as just last year, she played the role of Jo Braddock in the Uncharted movie. She has also appeared in The 100, The Owl House, and Netflix's You, and received wide recognition thanks to her role in another successful Netflix show called Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Johnny Cage Actor Almost Confirmed
Joining Gabrielle in Mortal Kombat 2 is Karl Urban, known for his roles in Dredd, Star Trek, and more recently, The Boys. He's expected to portray the iconic character Johnny Cage. If you stuck around the credits of the first movie, you would have noticed the post-credit scene teasing the fan-favorite character. Visit our previous article for additional details.
