The world of Conan Exiles is about to become more savage as mounts are finally going to be added. Players have long been requesting this feature and mounts are going to be introduced this December through a free update. Once the update is live, players are then going to be able to capture and train their very own mounts.
In addition to having new mounts, there is also going to be a new pet leveling system. Players can expect to also experience mounted combat. That's right, players finally have the chance to charge into battle on a trusty steed.
While the mount system is indeed going to be free, developer Funcom said that a new DLC titled Riders of Hyboria is going to be released as well. Riders of Hyboria is part of the Year 2 Season Pass. Offered at $9.99, the DLC will offer more mounts and armor, but is not going to include any gameplay advantages. The free update, as well as the DLC, are going to be available for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Funcom said that it is going to reveal more information about this new content in the weeks leading up to the official release.
Set in the savage lands of Conan the Barbarian, Conan Exiles offers players the experience of an open world survival game. The game was launched in full back in 2018. Features of Conan Exiles include:
- Exploring a giant world from the burning desert of the south all the way to the snow-capped mountains in the north.
- Players need to do what they can to survive this harsh world. Stay warm, drink, eat, and even make sure that your mind is not corrupted.
- Get to harvest resources in order to make tools and weapons. You can start with a small home and work your way to building cities.
- Go to war against your enemies. Use you siege weapons to destroy their walls.
- Capture NPCs and take them back to your base and attempt to break their will.
Once released, the Riders of Hyboria DLC is going to be the ninth update for the game. To celebrate the news, Conan Exiles is available on Steam at a 50% discount this weekend.
