Ahead of the official reveal of the teased My Hero Academia game, the latest issue of Jump has leaked, showing off the first look at the upcoming title.
Siliconera reports My Hero Academia: One’s Justice is the name of the upcoming anime game from Bandai Namco. Unfortunately, the issue doesn’t have much information, outside of the platforms the game will be on.
Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 will be the homes of My Hero Academia: One’s Justice with a release date sometime in 2018.
The leaked images from Jump do give good look at what to expect from the upcoming MHA game, which you can see below.
Above, you can see the character models for Midoriya and Shigaraki and small scenes of the two fighting, with Midoriya performing what looks to be a special attack.
The images bring to mind the Naruto Shippuden fighting game series at first glance. Bandai Namco will reveal more information and the first trailer during Jump Festa 2018, which begins Dec. 16.
Bandai Namco built a teaser site recently that only had a gif of a microwave, which would reveal an egg when pressed. The next gif showed the same microwave, but a grenade appears instead of the egg. All of this was teasing My Hero Academia: One’s Justice but there is a countdown within the site. The countdown expires on Dec. 4, so expect some information or at least some screenshots when that day comes.
My Hero Academia , created by Kōhei Horikoshi, was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump starting in July 2014 and quickly became the manga publisher’s next big hit in the time when Bleach and Naruto were at their respective ends. It gained an anime adaptation in 2016, with two seasons already complete and a third premiering in 2018.
