Nanotale is hybrid RPG typing game set on dying planet. Players take control of Rosalind, an archivist collecting plant samples in an effort to save the planet from cataclysm. Apart from the excellent art style and vibrant color palettes, Nanotale also comes with some unique and exciting gameplay. The game is controlled entirely via keyboard and requires players to type out words to solve puzzles and eliminate enemies. Enemies who are on-screen are assigned a certain word, and the player must type the word to defeat them.
But it’s not all just typing. Nanotale is a grand adventure that has players traverse a beautiful landscape, solve peculiar puzzles, talk to interesting characters, and use cosmic powers to keep back impending doom. The world of Nanotale is fraught with adventure and excitement, but at the very least, it’ll help make learning how to type fast and accurately a fun and unique experience.
Nanotale is the upcoming sequel to the widely-popular typing game Epistory. Developed by Fishing Cactus, Nanotale continues the “Typing Chronicles” which began with Epistory in 2016. Fans of the growing indie franchise are definitely excited to see Nanotale come to fruition. Epistory received overwhelming support from the Steam community, with a ton of positive reviews and one of the highest ratings we’ve ever seen. It was praised for bringing such a unique and interesting spin on typing - you know, that mundane, everyday activity that most people wouldn’t consider fun? Well, they made it REALLY fun.
Developer Fishing Cactus received numerous awards for their gameplay innovation and unique art style, and Epistory was nominated for Indie Game of the Year in 2016. If the highly-anticipated sequel is anything like its predecessor, then we should see a lot of good things ahead for Nanotale.
Nanotale is expected to release in the latter half of 2019, and will be available for PC on Steam. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet as to whether or not there will be a console version, but don’t get your hopes up too high. This is a typing game, after all.
