NBA 2K17 is releasing this September and the cover athletes for the upcoming 2K Game will be revealed June 1, during the NBA 2K16 “Road to the Finals” Tournament.
The tournament will be held at 9 p.m. EDT where the top two teams will go head-to-head. The tournament finals will be livestreamed on the 2K Twitch channel, hosted by Ronnie 2K and Chris Manning aka LD2K.
UPDATE: Paul George has been revealed as the NBA 2K17 cover athlete
Check out the 2K Twitch channel below for the tournament.
Watch live video from 2K on www.twitch.tvLike the previous year, it seems NBA 2K17 will have more than one cover athlete. NBA 2K16 had three different athletes don the cover, including James Harden, Anthony Davis and Steph Curry.
The game also centered around a story that was produced by director Spike Lee as you navigated your character from college to the pros.
2K Games already announced an NBA 2K17: Legend Edition focusing on Kobe Bryant and comes with a bunch of Kobe-inspired goodies.
NBA 2K17 and the Legend Edition will release in stores in September, with the Kobe Bryant Legend Edition selling for $79.99 for both PS4 and Xbox One.
Outside the NBA 2K17 Legend Edition, details surrounding NBA 2K17 are non-existent but with the cover athletes being revealed later tonight -- hopefully, with a trailer -- the details will begin to come out.
