There are lots of big rating adjustments here just like every other roster update, but the most notable ones include Eric Moreland, Mike Scott and Michael Beasley, who were all privy to massive +5 boosts due to their top-tier performance on the court. While their starting OVRs aren’t exactly fantastic, these players are starting to become huge assets for their respective teams. Athletes like Nikola Mirotic and Dwight Howard deserve special mention too. With a much higher starting point, they still managed to move up in the ranks a good amount.
On the losing end of the stick, there aren’t as many big swings. Players like Kristaps Porzingis and Andrew Wiggins lost two points, but their OVRs are high enough that the impact won’t be too huge. There’s not much here in terms of drastic changes that should leave diehard fans of any team feeling upset.
The news of this roster update arrives hours after the release of patch 1.08 across PS4 and Xbox One. Insider knowledge suggests the update was meant to fix a shirtless glitch in the Neighborhood, but it’s also feasible that it may have been laying the groundwork to bring these new all-time players to the game.
NBA 2K18 is available now across PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Switch and PC.

- Great basketball mechanics
- Easy for new players to learn
- MyGM's story content is a great starting point for the future.
- The Neighborhood social hub feels empty and pointless
- Microtransactions ruin what would otherwise be a fun experience
- MyCareer story is a bit dull
