Even before it was officially launched, Need for Speed Unbound had been revealing different partnerships with real-world brands. This time is no different with the latest crossover 2023 PUMA X Need For Speed Unbound collection.
Need for Speed Unbound is the newest title in the iconic franchise. The game features a new visual style where elements of street art are combined with the most realistic looking cars in the history of the series. This latest real-world and in-game collaboration expands the energy and flair that makes the series what it is today.
PUMA has actually been a long-standing partner of the franchise especially with its “Forever Faster” tag. PUMA brings speed with the in-game Rival Racer Chase who rolls in a special PUMA wrapped Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Players have the chance to obtain 13 other exclusive PUMA in-game items including track pants, hoodie and jacket.
This new collaboration also uses the base color of PUMA Black across the collection. There are Graffiti-style tags as well, which highlight a new look of Need For Speed text in PUMA Blue alongside a PUMA White colored PUMA Forever Faster logo. It's designed to be as perfect on the street as it is for pushing the virtual throttle in-game. The collection extends across a performance and comfort-oriented range of two hoodies, two t-shirts, and specially-designed NFS sweatpants.
There are also four styles of footwear that fans can choose which are the PUMA MACO SL, RS-X, RS-TRK and RS-X JR sneaker models. Rounding up the look is the special edition baseball cap.
Released in December 2022, Need for Speed Unbound has players prove they have the skills to take home the prize in Lakeshore’s ultimate street racing challenge while outsmarting the police along the way. It's available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Owners of capable hardware can enjoy the game in smooth 4K resolution at 60 FPS, a first for the series.
Some of the partnerships in the game include Balmain Luxury Fashion House and brands like Vans and Versace. The official soundtrack, meanwhile, features A$AP Rocky and other global hip-hop artists.
