A new post on the Nintendo NX subreddit seems to reveal a prototype for the new NX controller. While these images should be taken with a grain of salt, they certainly look more convincing than the previously leaked image.
The post, created by reddit user perkele37, features two images of the alleged NX controller along with some information on what it actually feels like to use. According to perkele37, the controller's sticks don't move, only the upper nubs do. This is said to be like the circle pad on a 3DS, but raised up. The post also states there will be a rumble feature built into the controller, but closer to Apple's 'taptic' feedback than a traditional controller's vibrations. There's a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom to allow for headsets or earbuds, and the top of the controller features rollers that act and feel similar to a mouse scroll wheel.
It should be noted that perkele37 did mention this design might not be the final one, so even if the controller does end up looking something like this, it may not look exactly like this.
As I have mentioned many times already, and will continue to for a while, don't fully believe these rumors. While these convincing photos certainly suggest that this is a real, tangible product, that doesn't mean it's for the NX. This could be something completely different that people are saying is the NX. Who knows?
So what do you think? Do you like the look of this potential Nintendo NX controller? Do you think this is just another fake made to get people hyped over nothing? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
