Are you a fan of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl? If so, you’ve probably noticed that something is lacking, specifically that the title doesn’t have any voiced characters since launch. It is quite a bummer for a game with a lot of renowned characters like SpongeBob and Garfield. Well, things are about to change as brawler voice-overs have finally been added in the latest update.
As revealed in the game’s official Twitter account, all of the brawlers in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl now have voice-overs, with some of them voiced by their original actors like Tom Kenny (SpongeBob) and Janet Varney (Korra).
Items are also now available in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. Things such as an anchor, boombox, and ball, to name a few, will now spawn on the battlefield. You can grab them from the ground and use them against your opponents to turn the tide of battle. What’s more, you can set which items you want and how frequently they will spawn in a match.
Other changes have been implemented as well, and below are just some of the highlights:
- Default stock count increased from 3 to 4
- Airdashing now has a 2 frame warmup before a character starts traveling. This warmup is skipped when making contact with the ground
- Player indicators will be hidden if a character is performing an action that makes them invisible
- Attacking a blocking opponent no longer incurs self-hitlag
- Made all damaging hitboxes transient
- Removed corner slants
- Lowered ceiling by 3 units
- Made it easier to scale up the underside of the stage without colliding with a ceiling

- Single-hit frame length decreased to 17 frames
- Damage increased to 4
- Light Mid 2

- Knockback decreased to 50
- Stun decreased to 29
- Getup attack
- Hitboxes rearranged to appear on Danny’s feet
