Before Christmas, some FCC filings regarding the Nintendo Switch were found that pretty much confirmed that the hybrid console will have Bluetooth and amiibo support. And now, a few weeks before the big January Nintendo Switch presentation, more FCC filings submitted -- via reddit -- by Nintendo have been found and may reveal some interesting features.
Perhaps the most intriguing tidbit from the filings is found in page 6 of the first document, which mentions the console was not tested for 3G or LTE support. This seems to suggest that the Nintendo Switch may not have 3G or LTE support.
The same document also reconfirms that the Switch will support Bluetooth (likely for the detachable controllers).
There’s not much else to the new FCC filings besides the fact that the Switch was tested in extreme temperatures. According to the filings, the Nintendo Switch can work in temperatures ranging from 5 degrees Celsius (41 degrees Fahrenheit) to 35 degrees C (95 degrees F).
Of course, take this with a grain of salt until Nintendo officially announces the specs of the Switch. Hopefully, all of the technical aspects of the hybrid console will be announced alongside the price, release date and launch titles on Jan. 12 when the Switch presentation happens.
