No Man’s Sky is set to release Aug. 9 for PS4 and Aug. 12 for PC. While we know the game has already been announced as going gold, or is ready to ship, Hello Games is still hard at work.
As seen in the tweet above, the development team is wrapping up work on the first update for No Man’s Sky. The tweet mentions this update will include new features, additional balancing and even some extra content.
It has not been mentioned if this update will be a day one patch or not. Depending on how fast Sony can get the whole approval process going, it might not make it in time for those who start playing right at launch. Then again, Sony seems to be putting plenty of marketing power behind No Man’s Sky, so updates might be put on the fast track.
What we DO know for sure is that Hello Games will continue to work on No Man’s Sky well after the game is released. More updates and patches are sure to follow this one, with even more features, content and fixes coming post-launch. If you want to know every update as soon as it’s happening, follow @NoMansSky on Twitter, the development team is pretty active.
