It’s official! Pokémon GO is now five years old. Launched on July 6, 2016, the game has since evolved to offer a lot of features to trainers across the world. From a simple game that had players catch Pokémon, it now has raid battles, challenges, and research tasks.

In celebration of its fifth anniversary, a lot of events between July 6 and July 15 are scheduled. For the duration of the celebration, all Lure Modules will last for one hour and these include Glacial, Magnetic, Mossy, and Rainy Lure Modules.

- The in-game fireworks return this year in celebration of this fifth anniversary.
- Don’t forget to check out the in-game sky with the real-time sky mechanic.
- The Jump-Start Special Research is once available during the event.
- This is the chance to try it out, especially for those who missed it last time.
- The Special Research rewards a lot of Stardust, XP rewards, and exciting Pokémon encounters.
- Get fifth-anniversary Gift stickers when spinning PokéStops and opening Gifts.
- Stickers are also available in the shop.
- Be able to expand the Item Bag up to 3,500.
- Item Bag upgrades available in the shop.
- The Special Box, Ultra Box, and Adventure Box contain different items.
