For a lot of Pokémon GO trainers, July was a lot of fun. Looking at the lineup for August, the fun isn't going away anytime soon. There are two GO Fest events scheduled next month: GO Fest: Sapporo from August 5 to August 7, and the GO Fest 2022: Finale, happening on August 27.
In addition to the GO Fest events, two special events are sure to excite trainers around the world. The first is the Bug Out! which features Bug-type Pokémon from August 10 to August 16.
However, the bigger event is the 2022 Pokémon World Championships event from August 18 to August 23. This event is set to feature Pokémon GO for the first time; more details will be released soon.
Community Day
The Community Day is on August 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., local time, featuring the Tiny Raccoon Pokémon known as Galarian Zigzagoon. It's going to be a fun day with the many event bonuses that include:
- Egg Hatch Bonus
- 3× Catch Stardust.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive XL Candy from catching Pokemon.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event last for three hours.
- Incense activated during the event lasts for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three for the day.
- Trades made during the event and up to five hours afterward require 50% less Stardust.

August Raids
Here are the Pokémon that players can expect in Five-Star Raids:
- July 31 to August 10
- Palkia
- August 10 to August 18
- Genesect
- During this period, Genesect is going to have a different Drive than it had in its past appearances.
- August 18 to August 31
- Zacian
- Zamazenta
In Mega Raids, the Pokémon to expect are:
- July 31 to August 10
- Mega Abomasnow
- August 10 to August 18
- To be announced
- August 18 to August 25
- Mega Slowbro
- August 25 to August 31
- Mega Ampharos
Raid Hours, which is happening every Wednesday between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., local time, features these Pokémon:
- August 3: Palkia
- August 10: Genesect
- August 17: Genesect
- August 24: Zacian
- August 31: Zamazenta
