Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are coming this November 19 on Nintendo Switch. In celebration of that release, Pokémon GO is launching a new event from November 16 to November 21. As part of the event, trainers get two bonuses with 1/2 Incubator Distance and 1/3 Super Incubator Distance.
In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, trainers are taken to the Sinnoh region. For Pokémon GO, it means Pokémon first discovered in that region will appear more often. There’s also costumed Pokémon making their debut in the game like:
- Turtwig wearing Lucas’s hat
- Chimchar wearing Lucas’s hat
- Piplup wearing Lucas’s hat
- Turtwig wearing Dawn’s hat
- Chimchar wearing Dawn’s hat
- Piplup wearing Dawn’s hat
As part of the event, there’s going to be a Collection Challenge where everyone is required to catch them all. Those able to complete the challenge get these rewards:
- 1,000 XP
- 3,000 Stardust
- an encounter with Froslass
Part One
The event itself is divided into two parts with Part One – Pokémon Brilliant Diamond running from November 16 at 10:00 a.m. to November 18 at 10:00 a.m., local time. During this time, here are what players can expect:
