Good news Trainers! Pokémon GO is bringing back Eevee for Community Day in August. Even more exciting is that the Community is going to be a two-day event.
As part of the celebration, there are special stickers available all throughout August. They’re inspired by Eevee and can be obtained either through spinning PokéStops, opening gifts, or buying them from the in-game shop. In addition, some stickers, also inspired by Eevee’s Evolutions, are exclusively available at the shop.
Community Day
The August Community Day is on August 14 and August 15. During this period, the features and bonuses are:
- Eevee appears more frequently in the wild.
- Trainers lucky enough can even encounter a Shiny version.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day to get a surprise.
- Trainers can access the Eevee Community Day-exclusive Special Research story titled “What You Choose to Be” for $1.
- Eggs only need one quarter their usual Hatch Distance.
- Incense activated during the event lasts for three hours.
- Lure Modules activated during the event lasts for three hours.
Additional Features and Bonuses
The bonuses aren’t only available during Community Day itself. From August 13 and all the way to August 16, these bonuses are going to be active:
- When Trainers evolve Eevee into any of its Evolutions, that Pokémon will know a special attack:
- Vaporeon: Scald
- Jolteon: Zap Cannon
- Flareon: Superpower
- Espeon: Shadow Ball
- Umbreon: Psychic
- Leafeon: Bullet Seed
- Glaceon: Water Pulse
- Sylveon: Psyshock
- Eevee caught or hatched during this period knows Last Resort.
- Evolving Eevee into Sylveon requires only seven hearts instead of the usual 70.
- There’s a special Timed Research available that rewards a Mossy Lure Module and a Glacial Lure Module.
- There’s a special one-time-purchase Community Day Box available for 1,280 PokéCoins and it features:
- 50 Ultra Balls
- Five Incense
- Elite Fast TM
- Elite Charged TM
Pokémon GO is an augmented reality game developed by Niantic and released on mobile platforms in 2016. While the game is free-to-play, it makes use of a freemium business model. At launch, 150 Pokémon species were available and have since been increased to about 600 in 2020.
