Pokémon GO Fest is an annual event that celebrates both community and friendship. This 2022, trainers will meet none other than the Mythical Pokémon Shaymin. By the way, the festival is from June 4 to 5.
If you’re excited, then we have good news. Tickets are now available for $14.99, and will give trainers access to event gameplay for both days. Like the previous festivals, each day offers a different experience. For the first time ever, there’s also a special finale event taking place on August 27. Those who get the tickets for the June events will have one for the August special finale for free.
Like last year, ticket holders can enjoy exclusive events and features for both days:
- Spin Photo Discs at Gyms to earn up to nine free Raid Passes. These can be used only for in-person raids.
- Collect special event stickers from Gifts and PokéStops.
- Take up to five snapshots during event hours on Saturday and Sunday for a surprise.
Day 1 Exclusives
There are also exclusives for each day. For Day 1, trainers are asked to conduct Special Research about the Mythical Pokémon. They’ll also be tasked with choosing between two important decisions. Carefully choose since it won’t be possible to make changes later on.
Still on Special Research, ticket holders can personalize their event experience by choosing between Relaxed, Standard, and Master difficulty levels. The difficulty level selected affects which sticker is received as a reward though it doesn’t change the Special Research rewards.
The first day of the event features four rotating habitat hours. Different Pokémon appear during each habitat hour, and themed confetti appear on the map. In addition to the Pokémon featured during each habitat hour, ticket holders can encounter certain Pokémon attracted to Incense.
The Global Challenge Arena also makes a return on the first day of the festival. Ticket holders need to work together and complete a collaborative challenge each hour. If successful, a bonus is earned for the remainder of the hour.
Day 2 Exclusives
On the second day of the festival, an additional Special Research story will be available for those who complete the short Special Research story available to all Trainers. Plus, Pokémon attracted to Incense on Saturday continue to be attracted on Sunday during event hours.
By the way, Team GO Rocket balloons appear more frequently, and trainers earn twice the Mysterious Components after defeating Team GO Rocket Grunts.
