It's the month of love and in Pokémon GO, the fun starts early with the Valentine's Day event on February 8 and the official debut of Mega Gardevoir in Mega Raids. Be sure to make the most out of this event since it ends February 14.
For this upcoming, there are only two event bonuses:
- 2× Stardust from opening Gifts.
- Lure Modules activated during the event last for two hours.
A Global Challenge
Despite having only two event bonuses, there's still a reason why you should join and it’s the Global Valentine's Challenge from February 7 to February 14. This global challenge takes place throughout the event and you simply need to work with other trainers worldwide by sending Gifts to friends. If enough Gifts are sent, then a bonus is unlocked for everyone. These are:
- Global Challenge Goal: Send 100,000,000 Gifts
- Global Challenge Bonus: 3× Transfer Candy for the remainder of the event.
- Global Challenge Bonus: 2× Transfer Candy XL for Trainers level 31 and up for the remainder of the event.
Form Change
Another exciting thing is that during the Valentine’s Day event, you can change the Natural Form Furfrou to Heart Trim Furfrou! To make that happen, simply follow these steps:
- Furfrou starts in its Natural Form.
- Select Furfrou in your Pokémon storage.
- Tap the Change Form button to bring up a menu that lists the available Trims.
- Select the Trim that you want.
- Changing your Furfrou from one Trim to any other Trim costs 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust.

During the event, these Pokémon appear more frequently in the wild:
- Nidoran♀
- Nidoran♂
- Skitty
- Volbeat
- Illumise
- Woobat
- Frillish
- Natural Form Furfrou
- Morelull
Those lucky enough could encounter:
- Chansey
- Audino
- Alomomola
- White Flower Flabébé
- Orange Flower Flabébé
That's not all since Flabébé with differently colored flowers are set to appear in the wild depending on where you are in the world:
- Red Flower Flabébé: Appearing in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa
- Blue Flower Flabébé: Appearing in Asia-Pacific
- Yellow Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Americas
