Pokémon Go's Final Professor Willow Global Challenge Set For August

The last of Professor Willow’s Global Challenge for Pokémon Go Trainers is scheduled for August. The first was last June and the second recently finished last Sunday, July 7. This is all part of Professor Willow’s task for the leaders of Team Instinct, Team Mystic, and Team Valor.

The challenges are aimed at helping the different team leaders face new challenges and be able to grow as leaders. The team leaders are Spark of Instinct, Blanche of Mystic, and Candela of Valor. Each team leader is tasked with rallying their Trainers in order to complete research from around the world and at each of the three Pokémon Go Fest events happening this summer. Completing each challenge allows players to unlock exciting bonuses.

The first was Spark's Candy Research Challenge, which took place last June and occured during the Pokémon Go Fest Chicago. Rewards unlocked included double Catch Candy, one Rare Candy per raid, 1/2 Hatch Distance, and double Hatch Candy. Trainers also got the chance to encounter Shiny Raikou.

The second was Candela’s XP Research Challenge, which was during that first week of this month and took place during the Pokémon Go Fest Dortmund. Rewards unlocked include triple Catch XP, 1-hour Lucky Eggs, triple Hatch XP, and double Raid XP, with the chance to encounter Shiny Entei.

This August is set for Blanche's Stardust Research Challenge. The challenge lasts from the beginning to end of the Pokémon Go Fest Yokohama, which is from August 5 to August 12.

The Challenge Research Tasks are:

• Pokémon Go Fest Yokohama event attendees
  • Complete 2 million research tasks to unlock triple Catch Stardust
• Team Rewards
  • Instinct
    • Complete 25 million research tasks globally to unlock guaranteed 3,000 Stardust per raid
  • Valor
    • Complete 25 million research tasks globally to unlock triple Hatch Stardust
  • Mystic
    • Complete 25 million research tasks globally to unlock 1-hour Star Pieces

Meanwhile, Reward Bonus Date and Time include:

• All successfully unlocked bonuses will run from August 13 at 4:00 p.m. EDT until August 20 at 4:00 p.m. EDT.
• Unlock all the above bonuses, and Suicune will be available in raids on Saturday, August 17 (time to be announced later). If you’re lucky, you might encounter Shiny Suicune!
