The third trailer for the upcoming Pokémon movie, Volcanion and the Tricky Magearna, shows even more action than the previous two clips and more of the first Gen 7 Pokémon.
Oha Suta, the Japanese variety show, was the first to air the new trailer before The Pokémon Company released the trailer officially on YouTube, which you can watch below.
The trailer for Volcanion and the Tricky Magearna shows the main villain trying to exploit Magearna while Volcanion, the last of the Gen 6 Pokémon to be formally revealed, tries to save it.
Volcanion has been described in this movie as untrusting of humans and that will play into the film when Ash finds himself tied to Volcanion throughout the adventure.
Possibly the most interesting bit from the new trailer is how Zygarde is involved. The trailer shows the Zygarde Core hanging with Magearna but towards the end, viewers are treated to Complete Forme Zygarde as it hovers over the world.
What’s the Gen 6 Legendary’s role in this movie? It’s all a mystery and will likely tie into the Pokémon XY and Z anime. Perhaps we’ll get a hint as to how Zygarde plays into the upcoming Pokémon Sun and Moon games, especially its Complete Forme.
