Nintendo is likely happy nowadays because in the first three days since Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet was launched, the games have sold more than 10 million combined units. This is by far the highest global sales level for any game on any Nintendo platform within the first three days.
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are the latest addition to the Pokémon series, released three years after Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. These new titles introduce players to a new experience, a unique open-world Pokémon adventure, a first for the franchise.
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet was released November 18 on Nintendo Switch. The open-world format allows players to experience a new style of Pokémon journey because they can freely explore and do it at their own pace.
They can also take on multiple main story paths in whatever order they want:
- Victory Road
- Challenge Gyms and see if you can achieve Champion Rank.
- Path of Legends
- Take on gigantic Titan Pokémon that guard rare ingredients.
- Starfall Street
- Make your way through Team Star grunts and reach their boss.
Another new feature is the expanded multiplayer modes where a maximum of four players can travel together across the land.
The usual series staples like trading and battling Pokémon are also here. Plus, extras like the option to join Tera Raid Battles or simply take a break and have a relaxing picnic.
Expedition Records
In the game, players can look forward to seeing the Scarlet Book in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Book in Pokémon Violet . These are expedition records that have been written a long time ago. According to these records, the expedition is said to have crossed in what is clearly an uncharted area of the Paldea region. However, it remains to be seen if the accounts depicted in these records are true.
Both books have photographs and sketches of unidentified creatures. In recent years, there have been sightings of similar creatures, though these reports are rare, and the specific details of their biology continue to be a mystery.
