PowerWash Simulator just turned two years old on July 14, 2024, and developer FuturLab and publisher Square Enix are celebrating it with an all-new free update.
The update is known as The Muckingham Files Part 3 and it is already live for players on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The latest patch will contain a couple of disgusting aqua jobs that will be a perfect fit for clean freaks looking for a new job to do.
PowerWash Simulator's Free Anniversary Update
Up first is the Aquarium, where players must clean off various kinds of gunk that accumulates in sealed, wet environments.
Keeping with this particular theme, there is an unsanitary Submarine that won a map vote that will keep players excited, according to PushSquare.
Previously, developer FuturLab teased that the Muckingham Files have returned in the game's latest free content update. The studio added that this marks the second "Washer-Versary" PowerWash Simulator.
The studio also said that as part of its Washer-Versary celebration, the update would bring the two new maps that the community voted for. The game's previous premium expansion took inspiration from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, said Eurogamer.
The official store page of the game also describes the Muckingham Files as a series of free Bonus Job updates that take players to never-before-seen places. These apparently come from the original universe of PowerWash Simulator.
Two Brand New Maps
On top of the new maps, the free update also adds various new characters and stories that players can get to know. One other thing that is worth noting with FuturLab's latest patch is that the game already has a lot of free DLC currently available.
For players who have yet to grab these free content should do so to have more options when trying to become the cleanest worker out there. These include a Final Fantasy VII pack, a Tomb Raider pack, and many more, according to PureXbox.
Another noteworthy DLC is the Warhammer 40,000 Special pack which features imperial technology falling afoul to a litany of dirt. You are then tasked with performing the ultimate purification protocol.
Here, players will be able to command potent power-washing technology to restore a range of imperial machines to be ready to serve the emperor once again.
