Halloween is just around the corner and that means something undead is heading your way. PUBG Mobile is bringing back its Infection Mode. This is one of the modes that fans have really enjoyed in the past, and was first released back in August 2019. Everyone gets the chance to try this mode again from October 16 to November 9.
So what happens in this mode? Players are split into two teams, with one being the Zombies and the other being the Defenders. The Zombie team needs to defeat all Defenders, but must do so before the time limit ends. However, the Defenders get the victory even if one Defender survives. If you think that’s a bit unfair, don’t worry since it kind of balances out.
For the Defenders, they get to carry AK47s and M416s that have super Extended Mags. Zombies, on the other hand, can do melee attacks, and while they do have abilities, these abilities have cooldown timers. However, when Defenders are defeated they become infected and then respawn as Zombies. These infected Defenders can even transform into different types of Zombies like a Stealth Zombie and Fast Zombie. They can even turn to the Zombie King, which comes with a huge boost in both attack and defense.
There is another condition for the Defenders. When there are only three humans left, they transform into what are known as Vanquishers. When infected are killed by Vanquishers, they can’t be resurrected.
It’s not all Infection Mode as there’s also going to be a new collection of specially-themed in-game décor items known as Halloweeks. There’s new decorations like jack-o’-lanterns, candles, and gravestones. There are even zombies that wear Halloween masks.
Metro Royale Mode
Back in August, PUBG Mobile announced that it was entering into a collaboration with Metro Exodus. Metro Exodus is a single-player first person shooter that features stealth and survival horror elements. Anyway, this collab is going to result in a Metro Royale Mode.
PUBG Mobile yesterday gave a sneak peek and revealed that this mode is set to offer new maps and new challenges. There’s even going to be a new weapon. Metro Royale Mode is arriving with update 1.1 and is currently in beta.
