Rainbow Six Siege's EU League 2020 stage two concluded its fifth playday and the results are here. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the matches have been held online. The EU League had some really exciting matches to watch this playday, with all the matches played as a best of one format. We got to see a lot of different maps in play between the teams for playday five.

The matchup between G2 Esports and Rogue was the most anticipated match of the fifth playday. The match was played on Kafe Dostoyevsky, which is a defender-sided map. G2 was super dominant on Kafe as they took five attack rounds on a defender-sided map. The defenses were easier to win and G2 took the map with a 7-1 scoreline. G2 has been suffering due to lack of support members on the team, but it looks like they are opting for other strategies to win matches.

The best matchup to watch was between Team BDS and Team Vitality. The match was played on Clubhouse, which is a map BDS is pretty strong at. Most of the viewers and analysts thought that this match would be an easy win for BDS with their current win streak. However, Vitality was able to counter BDS perfectly. The only issue was BDS still managed to win majority of their gunfights which led both teams to a 6-6 tie. This playday concluded with BDS as the number one team in the EU league for the first split.

Another good match to watch was between NaVi and Team Secret. The match was played on Oregon, which is a utility-heavy map. The match was really fun to watch as we got to see NaVi counter Secret with ease. Secret kept using their default strategies on defense which allowed NaVi to run in the site and kill all the players. NaVi won the match with a 7-4 scoreline, making this their second victory this EU league.
