Rainbow Six Siege's APAC North Mini Major Stage 2 finished its Semi-Finals. The matches were online because of COVID-19. The event showcased exciting matches with the quarter-finals played in a best of three format. The plays highlighted different areas in matches. It might help you make new strategies for your ranked and competitive games.
The matchup between CAG and Cloud 9 was the core game of the playday. The first map was Clubhouse - a defender-sided map. Both Hibana and Zofia were banned. The Zofia ban was to counter an individual player on Cloud 9. CAG’s unpredictable playstyle made it difficult for Cloud 9 to oppose them. CAG always succeeded in running into the building fast and getting an entry pick. This annoyed Cloud 9 but their re-frag game was brilliant. Most of CAG’s attack rounds would be over within the first minute of the match. This resulted in two rounds in the first half. Still, Cloud took Clubhouse 7-4 with SyAIL fragging out with Blackbeard.
The final map was Oregon, which is a defender sided map. CAG’s aggressive playstyle allowed them to take three rounds in the first half. It was mediocre considering the map is defender-sided. Meanwhile, the Blackbeard pick from SyAIL made it very hard for CAG to win gunfights. Cloud 9 on defense was almost unstoppable with their scheme. The team chose operators like Jager, Wamai, Clash, Ela, and Smoke to ensure CAG couldn't easily clear out all utility present. Cloud 9 won the final map with a 7-5 scoreline, making Cloud 9 the first team to reach the grand finals.
