If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to be a firefighter, then better give Real Heroes: Firefighter HD a chance. Releasing on January 21, this is a game where players take on the role of a rookie member of the Los Angeles Fire Department. This first-person firefighting and rescue action game has players learn what it means to go again massive fires and, of course, help people get to safety from deadly infernos.
Players get to experience a different kind of opponent and realistic fire technology that gives the feeling of being “alive” while also being dangerous. As a PC game, players can expect the highest resolution possible.
The game offers a career mode that has at least nine levels for players to try out and beat. Making the game even more exciting are the real-life firefighting tools that include, among others, hoses, hydraulic rescue tools, axes, and even Halligans or pry tools.
Then, there’s also the all-star voice cast that includes James Marsters (Buffy: The Vampire Slayer), Jack McGee (Rescue Me), and Michael Jace (The Shield). Joining them are Jenette Goldstein (Aliens) and Jamie Kennedy (Ghost Whisperer).
Michael Devine at Ziggurat Interactive stated that they are happy to add the game to their roster. He further said that Real Heroes: Firefighter HD is “more than a game, it’s a first-hand look at the dangers first-responders face, and the work they do to keep us safe.”
In celebration of the upcoming release, publisher Ziggurat is launching a contest that they’re calling “Hall of Heroes.” Ziggurat didn’t really share much information on the contest but did mention different ways to join. Up for grabs is a chance to own one of the games in the publisher’s portfolio. Learn more about the contest here.
