With the recent success of the ESL One Katowice 2019, Dota 2 teams around the world are preparing for the upcoming ESL One Mumbai as regional qualifiers begin. This will be the first major Dota 2 event in India and is made possible a partnership with ESL and NODWIN Gaming. The tournament is scheduled for April 19 to 21, and teams will fight for a chance to get a large share of the $300,000 prize pool.

For this tournament, seven teams recieve direct invites and the four teams revealed to be participating so far include Ninjas in Pyjamas, Alliance, Gambit Esports, and compLexity Gaming.

Completing the roster will be four teams coming from the regional qualifiers and one team from the India qualifier.

Many changes have taken place already at the European Qualifier. Two teams initially slated to compete were instead handed out direct invites. The Pango replaced Alliance while Team Jekich will now play instead of Gambit Esports. Navi was also expected to participate but decided to withdraw due to a busy schedule. Taking their place is Mahoney Squad. Completing the participants for the qualifier is Elements Pro Gaming.

The North America Qualifier sees J.Storm battling it out with TEAM TEAM, Team Xolotl, and Flying Penguins. The China Qualifier has Royal Never Give Up facing Keen Gaming, Team EVER, and Mr. Game Boy for a shot at the Mumbai tournament.

South East Asia features TNC Predator, 496 Gaming, and PG.Barracx. Lotac was scheduled to participate but withdrew and replaced by Geniune Gaming. For the India Qualifier, the four teams duking it out are Signify, ROG TiTans, LXG Esports, and Reckoning Esports.

Europe, China, and SEA Qualifiers are already underway. The North America Qualifier will begin today and the India Qualifier on Friday.

This marks the third ESL Dota 2 event for the DPC 2018-2019 Season. The first was ESL One in Hamburg back in October 2018 and the second was the recently concluded ESL One Katowice 2019. Team Secret took home the trophy at both tournaments.
