These last few days have been really good for horror fans. First, we were awarded a Silent Hill Showcase, and now, a Resident Evil Showcase. Yesterday, Capcom held an online stream where it revealed lots of things about its upcoming RE games.
We saw a good look at several already-announced titles. Here is everything that was revealed.
Resident Evil Village Winters’ Expansion and Gold Edition
We received a new trailer for the previously revealed Winters’ Expansion. The paid DLC will bring third-person mode to the base game, but don’t expect to see Ethan’s face. He will look away from you whenever you try.
You will also receive The Mercenaries Additional Orders, an arcade-type mode that allows you to play as other fan-favorite characters. You will fill the shoes of Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg, and the iconic Lady Dimitrescu.
The biggest addition to the expansion is not the above content. It’s the new Shadows of Rose story DLC that takes place 16 years after the events of the base game. You will play Ethan’s daughter, Rose.
Winter’s Expansion can be purchased separately. It is also included in the Gold Edition, along with the base game.
Resident Evil Re:Verse
The standalone multiplayer game, Resident Evil Re:Verse, is still very much alive. The title will be available on October 28. However, owners of RE Village will get early access on October 23. The developer also announced that additional post-launch content is planned.
Re:Verse is available for free for every RE Village owner. It can be purchased separately if you don’t care for the single-player game.
Multiple Resident Evil Games Coming to Switch
Resident Evil 2, 3, 7 , and Village are getting a Switch release. The Switch versions will only be playable via cloud. Their respective release dates are mentioned below:
