A week after announcing the huge sales milestone for Resident Evil 2 Remake, Capcom now unveiled a new trailer and more information on the “Winters Expansion” for Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, with the new content drop focusing on “The Mercenaries Additional Orders.” Joining the fray for this fast-paced extra game mode are some of the game’s most popular characters, including the viral sensation vampire mommy Lady Dimitrescu. Check out the new trailer for “The Mercenaries Additional Orders” below.
Besides Ethan Winters, who was earlier confirmed to be joining the game mode in Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, Capcom has confirmed three more playable characters:
- Lady Dimitrescu – the nine-foot-tall beautiful vampire will tower over her enemies in this fast-paced game mode, whether they be Lycans or any other unfortunate being that crosses her path. Lady Dimitrescu builds up her Thrill meter by slashing her enemies to shreds with her sharp talons. Her special actions include a slam move and summoning her equally beautiful and dangerous vampire daughters.
- Lord Karl Heisenberg – possessing terrifying electric powers and equipped with a massive hammer and the ability to manipulate magnetic currents, Lord Heisenberg is a fearsome adversary to behold in this mode. He can summon his Soldat Jets, his unnerving creations from the factory, to help hunt down his foes. Be careful, though, as he can also easily get caught up in the violence of his minions’ self-destructive assaults.
- Chris Redfield – the iconic series protagonist joins the fray with his signature boulder-crushing punch and overwhelming firepower. Chris can easily build up his Onslaught gauge, and once it’s full, he can move and reload with lightning speed. Chris can also summon support from his Hound Wolf Squad and call in air support strikes to help him in combat.
Two new stages called “Bloody Village” and “Bloody River” were also announced, included in “The Mercenaries Additional Orders.”
Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will launch on October 28, 2022, on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and Xbox One. It will include numerous improvements for new-gen consoles and tons of new content, plus a third-person mode for the base game.
