Rumors have suggested the Galaxy S8 may release in 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage models. A recent leak has suggested prices for those models, with a South Korean source claiming the 64GB Galaxy S8 may sell for CNY 6,088 ($885) and the 128GB for CNY 6,488 ($943).
While prices for the Galaxy S8 have not been confirmed, many signs lean toward a price increase for the 2017 flagship. Pundits believe features such as a larger display and the AI assistant Bixby may increase the price of the Galaxy S8.
The Galaxy S7 Edge sold for $799 due to its dual-edge curved display. The Galaxy Note 7 also sold for $849 at launch. Prior rumors suggested the Galaxy S8 price may start about $849 in the U.S. There is a possibly the 128GB model may not be available in the U.S.
The most recent rumors suggest the Galaxy S8 may be announced on March 29 and release on April 21. Samsung is expected to give a sneak peek of the Galaxy S8 at Mobile World Congress in February.
The Galaxy S8 is expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip, 5.8-inch and 6.2 inch displays and 3,250mAh and 3,750mAh battery capacities.
