With many rumors circulating, the Samsung Galaxy S8 isn’t exactly shrouded in mystery. However, there is still no definitive date when the device will be unveiled or released.
Samsung has not yet announced its release plans for the Galaxy S8, but there are several suggestions for when the device will be revealed and go on sale. Check out a rundown of reports predicting when Samsung will make the Galaxy S8 official.
March 29
Most recently, tech informant @Ricciolo1 indicated that Samsung would officially unveil the Galaxy S8 March 29 and the device would go on sale during the week of April 24. This report also backs up prior claims that Samsung could showcase the Galaxy S8 at Mobile World Congress in February, before its official unveiling.
April 15
Another recent report from ETNews suggest the Galaxy S8 may launch on April 15. However, this report does not indicate whether this was the unveiling day or market release of the device.
Mobile World Congress
Reports from The Investor suggest Samsung will have a small number of Galaxy S8 handsets on display at Mobile World Congress, which takes place between Feb. 27 and March 2. However, the official unveiling and release may be postponed until mid-April.
Week of April 17
Other reports from The Investor suggest Samsung may host a launch event for the Galaxy S8 during the week of April 17. However, this report did not specify a day or whether the this was the unveiling day or market release of the device.
April 18
The news website Naver reported one of the earliest release dates for the Galaxy S8, suggesting the device could go on sale April 18, after an unveiling event in New York in late March or early April.
