Netmarble is known for churning out video games for mobile devices. However, it appears that the developer is trying out its hand on another platform for its latest release. The company is preparing to release Seven Knights – Time Wanderer for the Nintendo Switch on November 5.
This isn’t actually a new game, since the original Seven Knights was first launched all the way back in March 2014 for Android and iOS devices. Since then, Seven Knights has managed to reach 60 million cumulative downloads around the world. This is going to be Netmarble’s first ever release for the Switch.
The game’s story focuses on Vanessa, the eighth member of the titular Seven Knights. She brings with her Sandy, a sentient hourglass, as she begins her journey to return home safely after falling into the twist of space and time. Along the way she gets to meet new friends and even face new challenges. In addition, she also appears to have stumbled into a plot that may affect her world.
This version of Seven Knights is sure to excite both new and veteran players, especially with the stunning visuals. Since this is a new platform, players can expect an all-new control system along with new battle systems. In addition, the Time Wanderer content has been optimized for this new platform. While obviously the game has a storyline, it comes with an ending this time around, so that should be something everyone can look forward to.
Seven Knights - Time Wanderer has launched its official website which reveals some of the game’s features. For one, each episode in the Switch version of Seven Knights takes place in a different time and place. That means new maps, new characters, and even new events. There are also hidden stories that allow players to discover more about each character through their backstories.
The website also released the official soundtrack, which has 10 tracks. Additionally, there is a webtoon on the Seven Knights website which, as of today, already has seven episodes.
Aside from Seven Knights, Netmarble has been responsible for other mobile games like Marvel Future Fight, The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, and Lineage 2: Revolution. Netmarble has partnered with Wizards of the Coast to release Magic: ManaStrike, and is also responsible for BTS World and BTS Universe Story.
