There's a new filter making a buzz online that lets you turn yourself into an avatar from the popular game, The Sims 4.
For those who don't know, The Sims 4 is a life simulation game where you create virtual people or characters called the "Sims" and build homes for them. You basically live their lives by letting them do all sorts of stuff, from daily activities to dating and whatnot.
Part of what makes The Sims 4 a standout is its better visuals than its predecessor, and that's enough why many wanted to make an avatar of themselves using this game.
With that said, there's a new filter going viral on TikTok. It is nicknamed the Sims 4 filter because it turns your boring picture into an avatar found similarly in the game.
If you are interested in turning yourself into a "Sim," you can download a free app called Photoleap, available on both Android and iOS. This is an application that transforms selfies using AI.
Once you've installed the app, head to the "AI Selfies" section on the main page. You'll then be asked to upload a photo of yourself. After doing that, scroll until you find the "Simulate" option. When you tap on this, the app will scan the uploaded image and generate a photo with the filter applied. You can save the resulting image to your device and upload it on your TikTok or other social media accounts.
How About Something More Eccentric?
Another filter making rounds on TikTok recently is the Tim Burton filter. This turns your image into a gothic-style character similar to Tim Burton's creations.
Now, transforming your picture into an eccentric figure also requires the use of an app. This time, you need to download AI Mirror.
Once you have it up and running, go to "Comic" and search for the "Dark Gothic" effect. Tapping on it will prompt you to choose one of your images from your phone's gallery you wish to transform. Be sure to give it access to your photos, otherwise, it won't be able to do its thing.
When your picture is uploaded, crop the image until your face is front and center, and then tap "Draw." This will generate a photo that applies the Tim Burton effect. Once everything is done, save the image and you can use it wherever you want!
So, will you be using any of the above-mentioned filters?
