Bethesda has released a second update for PC users who’ve been experiencing stability and performance issues. Unfortunately, another update has caused more issues for console players.
Skyrim Special Edition 1.2 Update for PC includes the following fixes:
General stability and performance improvements
Fixed issue related to using alt-tab while playing the game (PC)
Fixed issue with water flow not rendering properly
Fixed crash related to changing from werewolf back to human form
Fixed crash related to reloading after changing Load Order of mods
General bug fixing and improvements with browsing Mods
Skyrim Special Edition 1.1 Update for consoles includes the following fixes:
General performance and optimization improvements
Fixed rare issue with NPCs not appearing in proper locations
Fixed an issue with interface elements not appearing correctly on certain displays (Xbox One and PS4)
Fixed issue with saves erroneously being marked as Modded, even though no mods are active
Updated some sound files to not use compression
Console users took to reddit to alert other players about their issues with the update. One redditor wrote :
“Since this update downloaded and installed today I've had a lot of trouble with my game freezing and then force closing on PS4, has anyone else experienced the same? I'd probably put in about 30-40 hours prior to the update with the only issue I've encountered being the Dragon's Breath Mead not showing up. Also, I'm playing vanilla so there can't be any mods clashing with the update.”
Even Xbox One players are experiencing crashes in the game. Some console players report the game crashes at 10-15 minutes of play time. Bethesda addressed frustrated players on the game’s official forum, stating they are looking into the issues.
