Do you want to have the ability to summon dragons and a phoenix to eliminate your foes? Perhaps you want to take flight and make yourself untargetable for several seconds, then fall to the ground and knock your enemies back? These are all possible with the newest god in SMITE - the Jade Emperor Yu Huang.
Yu Huang gains a stack of Dao naturally every 15 seconds. That said, his Master of the Dao passive gives his basic attacks and abilities additional effects by becoming “Attuned.” This status is achieved once he gains six stacks of Dao or more.
One of Yu Huang's notable abilities is Flames of the Phoenix. When cast, he conjures four cinders of the phoenix that rush inward in an X-shaped pattern. When these cinders converge, they explode in a field of flames that persists and burns enemies inside for three seconds. When Yu Huang is attuned, this ability reduces the magical protections of affected enemies as well.
His ultimate, Dueling Dragons, can be a gamechanger due to its insane damage potential and large area when Yu Huang is attuned. He manifests a massive surge of dragon-shaped energy to summon the Pearl Dragon to oppose him. He has three seconds to aim the dragon of energy at the Pearl Dragon. Once they collide, they cause a huge explosion in the area.

Balancing Changes
The developers refer to Update 9.4 as the “nerf update” because of the nerfs to gods and items. These changes are meant to address the ever-growing problem of damage being too much in SMITE. You can read some of them below:
- Decreased Attack Speed from 25% to 20%
- Decreased passive bonus damage from 15% to 10%
- Decreased Magical Power from 90 to 80
- Decreased Attack Speed from 25% to 20%
- Decreased Physical Power from 35 to 30
- Decreased passive Physical Power from 10 to 8 per stack
- Rain Fire
- Decreased Base Damage from 140/180/220/260/300 To 120/160/200/240/280
- Decreased Magical Power Scaling from 70% to 65%
- Chain Lightning
- Decreased Base Damage from 40/70/100/130/160 to 30/60/90/120/150
- Decreased Slow from 30% to 20%
