Saturday Night Live continued its impressive resurgence with another batch of hilarious sketches. Jonah Hill hosted and was entertaining enough, but the real highlights came with a couple of well-placed skits throughout the evening. On an election year it’s a given that satire comedy would attempt to mock the likes of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, but arguably the best moment of the night was rather random and spontaneous.
Cast member Jay Pharoah participated in SNL’s “Weekend Update” segment to dish out a recap of this week’s Katt Williams-Kevin Hart feud. The incident had made headlines here and there, but obviously wasn’t the biggest story of the week in our current political climate. Nevertheless, Pharoah proceed to drill off nine impeccable impressions of famous black comedians in a matter of minutes. Past entertainers alive and deceased from Dave Chappelle to Chris Rock to Bernie Mac were all depicted spot-on. Take a look at Jay Pharoah’s brilliant SNL sketch in the player below:

Pharoah’s flawless impressions weren’t the only noteworthy moment of this week’s SNL, however. The cast put together a fantastic “Voters for Donald Trump” ad, in which seemingly normal Americans reveal their racist tendencies in support of the Republican candidate. The filmed parody matched the perfect tone of Trump’s campaign, and felt more relevant than ever. Watch it below:

The evening closed off with a musical performance from rapper Future, who teamed up with Jonah Hill for a humorous rendition of Future and Drake’s hit song, ‘Jumpman’.
