Stellaris: Console Edition officially launched the Distant Stars Story Pack. This is the first of three DLC packs to be released as part of the third expansion pass. It’s available for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The Distant Stars DLC allows players to experience a new sandbox that’s populated with anomalies along with strange beings only seen at the edge of the galaxy. As players explore every nook and cranny of the galaxy, they’re going to be rewarded with new technology, resources, and even worlds to colonize.
This new content offers some surprises and features:
- Behind Closed Doors
- Discover hidden traces of an ancient gateway network and unlock a sealed path to the remote L-Cluster outside our own galaxy. The question that remains is whether the door is holding something out or keeping something in.
- Sensors are Picking up… That Can’t be Right
- There are going to be dozens of new anomalies and events for the player’s scientists to observe and analyze. There’s also going to be a galaxy of wonders waiting to be discovered.
- Brave New Worlds
- Be able to plot unexplored unique solar systems, which come with their own story to tell. Get access to technology and resources. Be able to go to different valuable worlds to colonize.
- There’s Always a Bigger Fish
- Prepare to face a number of unique gargantuan creatures that exist and thrive in the vacuum of space. Be sure to approach with caution since there’s no guarantee whether these giants are gentle or come with something more sinister. After all, these legendary behemoths have been in existence long before us and will do what it takes to survive long after.
As mentioned, Distant Stars is the first DLC to arrive. The second pack is the MegaCorp expansion, which is slated to be released in 2021. The third one, the Lithoid Species pack, is going to be released in 2021 as well. Learn more about the third expansion pass here.
The Distant Stars DLC is available for $9.99 or can be purchased with the Expansion Pass for $24.99.
Stellaris: Console Edition offers the same deep strategic gameplay as the original Stellaris. It allows players to explore the unknown, discover the mysteries of the universe, or conquer it for the glory of their empire. The Apocalypse Exapansion and Humaniod Species Pack have already been released for Stellaris: Console Edition back in June.
