The premium edition includes a retail copy of the game plus a 3.5-inch by 4-inch tall long pocket goat plushie and a large cloth poster in a custom box. The poster and box share original illustrations by series illustrator Igusa Matsuyama.
The Harvest Moon
Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life was first released in Japan in September 2003 and later in North America in March 2004. It was originally available on the GameCube and later ported to PlayStation.
Players start with one cow, and over the course of the game, they get additional and higher quality cattle plus other farm animals like chickens, sheep, and a horse. The cows stop making milk after 40 days, and to make sure that they continue to produce milk, they have to be impregnated. Players also start with a dog but can also obtain other pets like a lizard and a turtle. It’s even possible to get access to a car later on.
The farm itself has three fields, each having different levels of fertility. Plants not only need to be watered at least once a day but must also be nourished using fertilizers. This way, players can get high-quality vegetables and fruits. Each crop has an ideal season, so players need to plan ahead well or the harvest will end up poor if planted in the wrong time of the year.
The Remake
Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life offers players events, enhanced festivals, more recipes, and never-before-seen crops. Those familiar with the series are sure to find the updates to Forgotten Valley exciting. Meanwhile, new players can learn more about the joy in experiencing a farm life and meeting various extraordinary characters.
